If you’re in the DC area and are looking for a terrific folk/accoustic performance from an up-and-coming voice, go see Emily Lord at the Staccato in Adams Morgan tomorrow night. Emily went to Notre Dame with my brother, and I’ve listened to her music since before they graduated. After graduation, she fulfilled her obligation to the Army in Saudi Arabia (more on her background here) and is now a full-time musician in the Bay Area, California.
