Reporting from the county convention

This is classic. We are currently debating what rules govern the agenda, and the candidates don’t even know whether they can speak before the vote.

  1. In the nominating speech for Doug Cole, the nominater said, "it is important that we have a relationship with both major parties."

Aren't we one of those parties?

  2. Doug Cole just claimed that we are in competition with the Democratic Party. Wow.

  3. Voting has begun. The precincts are weighted so I don't have the weighted totals, but so far it's 11 precincts to 3 for Gayl, and one guy just abstained "due to the format of the vote."

  4. Looks like Gayl is going to carry this, but Doug's getting pretty good numbers. Downers is going now (they're last), we'll know for sure in a few minutes.
