Irrational exuberance

If you’re looking for some good coverage of Trippi’s resignation, the campaign’s focus (or lack thereof) and what this means moving forward, be sure to read Noam Scheiber’s mea culpa at TNR last night.

Bottom line: the clock is ticking. Roy Neel has his work cut out for him.

  1. Yep, and tho I see a few improvements Dean is still linguistically sloppy. He should let his endorsers attack Kerry.

Oh well. Dean got in this race not expecting to win, but to challenge Kerry to be tough, not cautious; mission accomplished.

  2. Will the last Deaniac out turn off the lights?

I remember several years ago on one of those "Funniest commercials" TV specials, there was a great animated commercial from Russia. It was a public service message asking people to conserve energy, probably because the state run utilities were going

That is the biggest load of outright untruth and spin that I have ever seen this week. Sheesh. No one runs for president on a campaign not to win.

  4. Oh my God, I agree with Jeff. I am waiting for the lightening to strike!

Of course, I am not going to be mean like Jeff about your opinion, but I do think that anyone who puts him/herself out for public office believes that they can (and should) win. It's part of what drives them, the ego of it all. They may self-deprecate and say it ain't so, but it is; it has to be.
