The Scrum weighs in

As a follow-up to last night’s post, here’s a take from the opposite point of view: that given Dean’s considerable dominance of the race to date, he has the most to lose.

  1. What you seem to propose is that the press will be fairly benign to the presidential race while The Scrum seems to suggest that the attack dogs will open up on the front runner.

    My take is that with reduced national press-coverage, people will continue turning to the internet, which most favors Dean. I also agree that the longer Dean stays in the lead, the easier it is to stay there and will help address electability. But, I can't help but think that the press might favor taking shots at the leader over just being quiet... don't know. Wait 'n see, I guess.
