Ann Coulter on the Convention

Ann Coulter was hired by USA Today to cover the convention, then fired after filing this report.

The comments from USA Today are pretty funny.

  1. Is this for real? I feel like I am getting Punkd. She did not really write that did she?

  2. Then you have to believe she wanted to get fired so that she could make a stink about it. Aside from the fact that the majority of USA Today readers would not understand her vocabulary or snide references, the piece is just plain insulting. Satan's Spawn? Sandal-wearing, hirsute, somewhat fragrant hippie chick pie wagons they call "women"? Come on! She is not stupid or naive enough to think they'd publish that. I think that it's a publicity stunt pure and simple.

My favorite part, though, is how she quotes herself in the piece you've linked. It's like she interviewed herself. Good lord, at least get some other schmuck to write it!

  3. Ann Coulter is pure honesty. This is honesty. I know plenty of people love to 'bicker' about honest people, but the popularity of honest writing like Ann Coulters is always soaring.

There's nothing wrong with this column for USA Today to ban. The jokes make perfect sense. The sarcastic wit is obvious. There's nothing to complain about here.

Unless you think it is equally fair to Censor Michael Moore.

  4. Well, as one of Satan's Spawn, I'll tell you that if you think that her account was honest, then if you met me in person you'd think I was a republican. If you ask me, she saw the "Mean Girls" movie before that post and was channeling the main characters.

If Michael Moore's piece is as ludicrous as hers, he deserves to get fired too. Bad writing is bad writing.
