Chris - you have up to 60 minutes, and up to 1 gig of transfer per month for $5/month. It's very slick - you can either record from your browser (not my cup of tea), upload audio, or (my preference) dial in to an access number, punch in a couple digits, and it'll use Movable Type's XML-RPC interface to post directly to the blog.
After the fact, I can go in and edit the post, add text if I want, etc.
Ben - thanks for the transcript! Not sure how to streamline that process right now, but wouldn't be a bad answer to go in afterwards when I have web access and am at my laptop to do a quick summary of what's there.
Also like to point out that you can upload MP3 or WAVs, plus record and publishing using the web-based recorder for better quality than what the phone provides. We also give people the ability to make a playlist. Much streaming fun! (/end plug)
Hope you enjoy it Rick, and please feel free to ask away for advice. I usually edit my blog after recording by phone just to give a little context.
Very cool. Is the lenght unlimited?
ReplyDeleteCan you do interviews via the audioblog?
I would like to hear a couple of updates each day you're out there.
Tell us about the panel discussion and all the other blog stuff...
