So John Kerry is in LinkedIn, and amazingly enough he’s just two links away from me. (And you thought I wasn’t connected.)
He’s already listed as the Democratic Presidential Nominee? Kucinich is still running, right?
More interesting, though, was this at the bottom of his listing:
He’s “considering full- or part-time job opportunities”? He’s interested in “projects taking place in Washington D.C. Metro Area, as well as via phone/email”? Where’s the commitment? The dedication? He’s willing to just phone it in?
Wow. The wingers will have a field day with this.
(Yes, I’m kidding.)
Maybe he'll get another purple heart if he breaks a nail "phoning it in". ;)

ReplyDeleteHeeelarious!
There just isn't anything funnier than cracking jokes about servicemen wounded in action.
Well that comment certainly killed the thread :-/

So-called Austin Mayor - I notice your blog has a link to Markos Zuniga's (Kos) blog. Since you support him and his blog, you must've relished in his comments about the four Americans killed, their limbs ripped from their torsos, bodies charred beyond recognition, and hung from a bridge in Fallujah who were former Special Forces soldiers providing security for food deliveries, when he said, "They are there to wage war for profit. Screw them." But hey, at least he didn't crack a joke, huh....
ReplyDeleteBy the way, here's how the treating physician describes Kerry's purple-heart-worthy boo boo:
"What I saw was a small piece of metal sticking very superficially in the skin of Kerry's arm. The metal fragment measured about 1 cm. in length and was about 2 or 3 mm in diameter. It certainly did not look like a round from a rifle.
I simply removed the piece of metal by lifting it out of the skin with forceps. I doubt that it penetrated more than 3 or 4 mm. It did not require probing to find it, did not require any anesthesia to remove it, and did not require any sutures to close the wound. The wound was covered with a bandaid."
I didn't even know they gave purple hearts for splinters. But hey, when you've got a political career ahead of you, you gotta plan accordingly.
